Warehousing Procedure

I work for a Managed Service Provider, In your list of mandatory and non-mandatory documents which you supply it says that the Warehousing Procedure is mandatory for 14001 clause 8.1. We do not keep much stock at all. Can i exclude the procedure?

There is no mandatory Warehousing Procedure. Clause 8.1 states that an organization shall maintain documented information to the extent necessary to have confidence that the process(es) is (are) carried out as planned. So, It is up to each organization to define what documentation they need. Evaluate that need based on impacts and risk significance, and on people’s experience and qualifications. Please check this article - List of mandatory documents required by ISO 14001:2015 - https://advisera.com/14001academy/blog/2019/08/27/key-iso-14001-benefits-to-customers/nowledgebase/list-of-mandatory-documents-required-by-iso-140012015/ - what is considered mandatory is a plan with environmental operational controls. Normally, warehouses are places where wastes are generated. Perhaps in your case, your organization needs a control plan with the warehouse’s KPIs. Check, as an example - Defining KPIs in the warehousing business according to ISO 14001 - https://advisera.com/14001academy/blog/2016/12/05/defining-kpis-in-the-warehousing-business-according-to-iso-14001/
