Certification after a NC

We received a major 9001-2015 NC. After it is corrected to the auditor's satisfaction, will the certificate date be when the previous certification expired, or the date on which the auditor agrees that the NC is corrected? In other words, will there be a 'gap' in our ISO certification?

Answer:

The certificate will be issued when the nonconformity has been corrected and this has been verified by an auditor.
