Certified internal auditors

We have 2 individuals whom are certified, however I was wanting to know if I wanted another person at my company to do an internal audit of a process, would they actually have to be certified or just component? Once we are certified to the new QMS we will be performing our own internal audits, I'm just not sure with the new standard if you have to be a certified internal auditor and can anyone who is qualified can do so?

Answer:

There is no requirement for internal auditors to be certified, thy only need to be familiar with requirements of the standard and auditing techniques. Your existing auditors just need to get familiar with new requirements of the standard and they will be ready to conduct internal audits.

Here you can find our, free to attend, ISO 9001:2015 Internal Auditor Course https://advisera.com/training/iso-9001-internal-auditor-course/
