Data Security Addendum

I've been tasked with selecting and customizing the appropriate template for our company's Data Security Addendum. I thought that the Standard Contractual Clauses (processors) are the right thing to give to our suppliers / vendors. However, we are based in the US and the document refers to the Member State in which we are established. Should I be using a different template? Some of our data is EU data and some of our vendors are EU based, though with operations outside of the EU.

Answer:

The document you are looking for is usually called a Data Processing Agreement or Processor Addendum and you can find a template in our EU GDPR Documentation Toolkit in section 7 – Third Party Compliance https://advisera.com/eugdpracademy/eu-gdpr-documentation-toolkit/
