I am starting working in a Tier 1 company who produces seat backrests for OEM and our current certicate scope says "manufacture of seat back reast". The company also produces other parts for automotive OE. In next audit, the only products that can be audited are back rests. Am I right?

If you have IATF 16949:2016 certificate and you only produce seat backrest for automotive, only this product will be evaluated during an audit.
If your ISO 9001: 2015 certificate is also available, other products are considered within this scope. This topic is about the type and scope of your certificate.

But as explained in my question we do produce other parts for OE not only back rests but other parts but certificate scope says “manufacture of seat back rests” so can the auditor audit not only back rest but the other products for OE? If so, why? Having only back rests at the scope?
If other parts are not included in your IATF 16949: 2016 document; Not audited for IATF 16949: 2016 standard. But if you want and if your automotive customer has an expectation; you can expand the scope and get other parts to your certificate.
For this, as you know you should inform your certification company in advance.
