ISO 17025 and Proficiency Testing

ISO 17025

We are planning on performing proficiency testing (interlaboratory testing as no PT exists in our industry) with another lab who also uses the same equipment as our lab. However, this lab is not a certified lab under ISO17025. In addition to this, the device that they have is known not to be traceable to NIST standards. Should we proceed or find another lab? If we proceed, what additional guardrails do we need to have in place to demonstrate to the assessors.
