ISO certification

Hi,
I am working in a consultancy company mainly provide monitoring and evaluation services for nonprofits / NGOs as a third-party monitoring for their projects. so we are a service business company. and a small company :)
We're thinking if:
1- ISO certification is the one that will improve the company, and increase its rank?
2- What are the actual steps we have to do to be an ISO certified company?
Note1: we do not use the software in our work, only spreadsheets.
Note2: Our budget is small will ISO cost us a lot?

“1.ISO certification is the one that will improve the company, and increase its rank?”

Answer:

Please check this article - Six Key Benefits of ISO 9001 Implementation - https://advisera.com/9001academy/knowledgebase/six-key-benefits-of-iso-9001-implementation/

Implementing ISO 9001 can be useful to organise, improve and standardize processes. Certification can be useful to increase your credibility and image among potential customers.

“2.What are the actual steps we have to do to be ISO certified company?”

Answer:

The first step that I recommend is to perform a Gap analysis, to determine the amount of work to be done.

With this information you can develop your project plan, listing what needs to be done, by whom, until when.

After implementation, perform an internal audit and the management review. There you can decide that your organization is ready for certification audit.
