If you take the order from your mother company and send the products you produce directly to them and issue the invoice to the mater company; your automotive customer is your mother company. In this case, your only automotive customer becomes the mother company.
For example, you produce the part and send it to the mother company. If the mother company also sends it to directly Ford and the mother company is defined in the Ford portal
- Your automotive client is the mother company.
- Mother's company customer is Ford.
- Based on this example, you are a tier 2 producer; for some customer-specific requirements, you should comply with Ford's terms.
hi there,
my company have ISO9001 certificate, but we have a potencial automotive customers who requiered us to be IATF Certified before getting them on board to have do business with them, please advice if there is any possibility because they realy want to do business with us.
If you are producing for your automotive customer and your customer wants you to get IATF 16949; You can apply the certification audit by doing the necessary work for the IATF 16949:2016 standard.
