Trends in OH & S Performance

In the ISO 45001 standard, clause 9.3 d talks about requirements for management review to discuss information on OHS& performance, including trends on a list of 6 topics. These include: incidents, nonconformities corrective actions and improvement; monitoring and measurement results; results of legal and other compliance; audit results; consultation and participation of workers; and risks and opportunities.

So, to start with you will want to see what information you have for each of these items, such as measurements or monitoring data, and then assess if there are any trends for each. For instance, are the number of incidents per month going up, going down, or staying constant? This is the information to present at management review, and the use of charts to graphically display this information is a common practice.
