Validity of Internal Auditor Certificate

Answer:
The management system standards do not define validity of the certificates for internal auditors and they don't even require from internal auditors to have such certificates. Although it does not requires the certificate and neither it limits the validity of the certificate, IATF 16949 (former ISO/TS 16949) has requirements regarding maintenance and improvement of competence of internal auditors.
The standard requires organization to define minimum number of audits per year performed by each internal auditor and it expects from the auditors to maintain knowledge of relevant requirements based on internal changes (e.g. processes, technology, product technology) and external changes (changes in the standard, core tools, customer specific requirements).
I am certified internal auditor for IATF 16949 2016 , can i audit to our supplier on the behalf of this certificate , i think i can do but need to be clear information if anyone know please response me.😐
First of all, it is necessary to see if there is a requirement about this issue in your customer's specific requirement.
If not, it is sufficient to know the IATF 16949 standard and receive internal auditor training, but you must also be competent enough to audit your supplier's production process.
If these 3 issues are suitable for you and there is no specific requirement from the customer, you can audit your supplier
