ISO 14001 action plan for each objective

In terms of clause 6.2.2 planning actions to achieve objectives, is mandatory to have a document detailing the action plan for each objective? The current situation, the objectives, and targets are documented but nothing to show what actions are being done towards achieving the objectives targets.

No, just based on ISO 9001:2015 the mandatory documents and records do not include clause 6.2.2. Please check this article - List of mandatory documents required by ISO 9001:2015 - https://advisera.com/9001academy/knowledgebase/list-of-mandatory-documents-required-by-iso-90012015/ .

However, as an auditor you can ask:

  • What is the plan to achieve an objective?
  • Is the plan being implemented?
  • And request a mandatory record about monitoring the actual performance. Please check clause 9.3.2 c)2) and clause 9.1.1 (How do you measure QMS effectiveness? By the ability to achieve quality results. See the last paragraph of 9.1.1)
