Please note that only organizations authorized by accreditation bodies can issue certifications (i.e., certification bodies) worldwide recognized, and normally there is only one accreditation body per country.

Considering that, to verify if a certification body is legitimate, you need to consult the accreditation body from the country where this certification body operates and verify if it is registered there.
