It depends.If you are located in the European Economic Area (EEA), you will apply the EU GDPR, if you are located in the UK you will apply the UK GDPR and the UK Data Protection Act 2018 as well, you will need to verify if you meet also the criteria of CCPA or the Brazilian LGPD which apply also to data controller located outside those countries. That legislation is based on the EU GDPR so if you are compliant with the EU GDPR you mostly met the compliance criteria of other legislation.

Speaking generally, it may depend on your location and the location of your audience.
