Delete the data after a request

Good day,
We use an online provider to manage our personal data, as we have terminated the contract we have requested the provider to delete all our instances with the associated data, but this now requires the payment of a sum or payment of a further year of the term to the data Clear.
Is not it the case that the provider is obliged to delete the data after request, irrespective of any contract duration?

Ist es nicht so, dass der Anbieter unabhängig von irgendwelchen Vertragslaufzeiten verpflichtet ist nach Aufforderung die Daten zu löschen?)
